Oslo

What perfect weather Oslo turned on for us.  Both days mainly sunny and 14 degrees…however despite a cool breeze it was most enjoyable.

We did a lot of walking in Oslo.  On our first night we dined at one of the water front restaurants…..No…… this is not it.

We were staying close by to the Royal Palace which is above.

Now we didn’t have to go to Japan just to enjoy some lovely cherry blossoms.

And am I the only one that thinks this fountain is half of the fountain at the top of Kings Cross, Sydney.

The parks were stunning with the sunshine and spring growth.

A highlight today was spending a few hours in the Nobel Peace Prize building /museum.

A fantastic amount of information on the history of the Peace Prize

As well as displays of all the recipients over the years.

Later this afternoon we walked to the ‘Oslo Street Food’ building.  Along the way we saw our first signs of graffeti.

The food court Oslo Street Food is located right in the middle of the city centre. With a vast selection of food stall that offer authentic flavours from every corner of the world. Their lively and colourful premises provides many different cultural experiences, community and a unique food experience in the heart of Oslo.

Immediately outside the Oslo Street Food building.

We took the tram to Oslo Central Station for our trip to Bergen.
