Bergen

It was fabulous to be back in Bergen after 50 years.  Ginny can remember more about Bergen than I can.  Clean city with fabulous architecture – houses very specific to this area.

Norway generally is very expensive. Coffee and meals for example are almost double what we would pay in Australia for equivalent.

Our first day in Bergen was sunny and clear so we headed to the Funicular Railway to head to the lookout above the city.

The rest of the photos following are in and around Bergen showcasing the beautiful city, the fish market and the distinctive architecture of the houses.

    Hi Col & Ginny,
Loving your travel Log. We also enjoyed Bergen. Wondered if some of the buildings down the old wharf still have Agro Props holding them up.? We were there in 2013 and some of the buildings had very big leans out into the walk way apparently caused via a vessel that had a cargo of explosives I believe and unfortunately exploded.
Fish market and Floibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen were also great experiences.
Stay safe and keep photos coming for all us Armchair travelers at the moment.
    Cheers
    Cliff & Al
